This pepper is grown in the south of Navarre in the Ribera. This region, located on the banks of the Ebro, is a real vegetable garden where artichokes, asparagus, salads, tomatoes, pimiento del piquillo grow.
This vegetable is very present in Basque cuisine. It brings a good taste, very different from large peppers. It is always peeled and red in color. You will often find it stuffed with cod. Mixed, it can make a very good velvety to accompany your fish. Cut into strips, it gives a colorful touch to your dishes.
