Several important critics have rated this Pommard wine highly.
This large plot of more than one hectare, facing due south, was replanted from 1985 to 1989. The “solar” vine, ideally placed at the top of the hill, benefits from an excellent reverberation of the heat from the grapes. Les Petits Noizons draws from very stony soil, very calcareous and rather silty in depth, a fairly powerful wine, very structured, very racy.
2019 Pommard “Les Petits Noizons”: (10% whole clusters). Slightly riper aromas are comprised by aromas of poached plum, dark currant, violet and a whiff of game. There is much better volume and mid-palate density to the mineral-driven and focused flavors that display fine length on the firm, moderately austere and slightly rustic finale.
